I sang a line from "Chance" in a movie called THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR starring Yara Shahidi (Blackish) and Charles Melton (Riverdale). A week after the movie came out, I released it as my first song. My producer Breakway (aka MellowTone) did a phenomenal job, my old friend and roommate Alex Tumay mixed it, and our other good friend Tony Tulloch (fka Bxhxld) put some of his magic on it too. I've also been very proud of it as my first single. I've always described Chance as my Puppy Love, teenage romance love song. Inspired in some ways by "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" , it's just a young pop, r&b message to a girl that only saw me as a friend at the time that if she gave us a chance at romance, that I could guarantee that she would see what I saw and feel what I felt.
