Riding high on all the buzz from her show stopping performance with Snarky Puppy, soul diva Lalah Hathaway keep the hotness coming. When I got word that she was in the studio collaborating with UK duo DivaGeek, who's debut album made it to my Top 10 list of 2012, I had a Fred Sanford, hand on chest "Elizabeth I'm coming to join ya honey" moment. This past week, she dropped the first single from the session, the uplifting song "Shine". As I predicted, Lalah's velvet voice coupled with the fresh production of Ben Jones and vocal colorings from Vula Malinga, would be just what the doctor ordered.
