I wrote "Room Service" on the road while I was staying at a bunch of different hotels, where I'd often reflect on how much my life had changed since I was a kid in the hood. To go from seeing shootouts, apartment break-ins, and getting my bike stolen, to sleeping in luxury hotels, seeing mansions, and taking first-class flights—it's been one hell of a ride. It's crazy to see how different life can be for some people and, sadly, how most will never even get a glimpse of it.
