After dropping a bunch of singles within the first half of 2019, Gold Up felt as though it was time to start working on their debut album. Throughout the past year, the duo had the opportunity to collaborate with many talented artists from Canada, Jamaica,Trinidad and Ghana among other countries. In January of 2020, they travelled to Kingston, Jamaica with the goal of finalizing the project and did just that, securing a final song for Prelude. "Putting Prelude together has been a long and sometimes challenging process but most of all it has been fun to collaborate with all of these talented artists and to finally see the result of all the time and energy we put in.. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to your feedback!” -Gold Up
