The French & Canadian formed, Jamaican based production duo Gold Up is at it again, with the same mission; to bring dancing to the forefront of the culture by highlighting the dance in Dancehall. For their latest single "Teach Dem", the duo partners with a fresh face to compliment the refreshing energy, Kaka Highflames. Kaka, known for creating numerous viral dancing routines, has recently decided to take his talents to the recording booth after exploding on the scene with his viral dance and amassing an impressive fanbase on Tik Tok, hopping onto the riddim to deliver an energetic playful vibe. Bound for virality this summer, "Teach Dem" takes on a personality of its own and causes even the youngest to move.

With the release of their debut album “Prelude”, and more recently their latest single “Kimberly” featuring Shatta Wale & Captan, Gold Up has been hard at work. 

This time around, Gold Up has collaborated with one of Jamaica’s most iconic Dancehall artists, Konshens, and co-produced by Ride Di Vibes on a single entitled "Let Her Out". The song tells a story of a man who stifles his woman’s individuality making her feel trapped, leading her to explore a more exciting side of life. Konshens playfully brings awareness to the fact that men need to allow women to maintain their individuality within a relationship.

Markus Records and Gold Up Music strike again! After their first release, Shatta Wale’s hit song « Be Afraid » , the two labels once again join forces, this time with one Dancehall’s hottest acts Chronic Law.

With positive and inspirational lyrics, this song gives listeners the strength to not give up and to believe in their dreams. 

Showcasing an abundance of similes and metaphors, the Law Boss proves yet again why he is a lyrical force to be reckoned with in Dancehall.

After dropping a bunch of singles within the first half of 2019, Gold Up felt as though it was time to start working on their debut album. 

Throughout the past year, the duo had the opportunity to collaborate with many 
talented artists from Canada, Jamaica,Trinidad and Ghana among other countries.

In January of 2020, they travelled to Kingston, Jamaica with the goal of finalizing the 
project and did just that, securing a final song for Prelude. 

"Putting Prelude together has been a long and sometimes challenging process but most of all it has been fun to collaborate with all of these talented artists and to
