I produced the beat back in 2007 for this one, and wrote the lyrics over a period of years. The hook was written recently, and it all just came together. I was invited over to a friend's house in Eel Ground, NB to record, and I finished this song that day, didn't even mix it down, just did it and loaded all the stems onto a USB flash drive on my keychain and brought the shit home, where it sat uselessly until I finally got a PC again months later. At that point, I mixed it down, added some EQing and effects chains where applicable to the vox, then rendered it and posted it online as the first DNA song in a year or more. It felt really good to release this song, and it was well-received by listeners and fans as a good piece of musical art. See, my fans are my FANS - they love what I love.
