For their second project as MEGA PIXEL, Ben Rivet and Dave Zup traveled to an isolated cabin alongside Michigan’s Au Sable River and used the sounds of the environment around them as inspiration. The songs they recorded at the cabin focus on themes of self-acceptance, accountability, and togetherness. The duo also aimed to demonstrate that music does not need to be of the same genre to belong to the same home. This EP is rooted in Hip-Hop, Pop, and Folk just like a forest is comprised of trees, dirt, and wildlife. These songs can be played loudly with friends or quietly in headphones. It is modern campfire music for the masses.
