YXL Ayo has gone back to his Nigerian roots and is back with a new Afro-Fusion inspired EP titled “Ibukun”, which translates to blessed/blessing from Yoruba which is a native language in Nigeria. This EP has been in the making since he dropped his most successful song so far titled “Bad Guy” which has racked up over 10,000 views on YouTube. This song will also be featured on the EP. The First track on EP titled G.R.A. was made as a tribute to his late Grandmother who unfortunately died due to the Corona Virus earlier this year. G.R.A is the name of the area in which his Grandma lived in Nigeria (Government Residential Area) and also acts as an acronym for her name (Grandma Remi Amona).One of her wishes before she passed away was to have YXL Ayo incorporate Yoruba into his music.
