Ya Minko's artistic journey is deeply rooted in his Gabonese heritage and his commitment to destigmatizing mental health issues, drawing from his own experiences with ADHD, depression, anxiety and executive dysfunction. Through his journey as a compassion advocate, immigrant audio-engineer, creative director, and multi-genre artist/songwriter he continues to explore boundaries in music production, blending genres and cultures to create resonant, soulful and thoughtful music. In his own words: “ This project holds deep personal significance, as my relationship with mental health profoundly influences my songwriting process. It aims to contribute to destigmatizing and healing experiences for those struggling with neurodivergence in isolation.”
