The Migos Fuse Lush Strings With Trap Flows as AudiomackLive Presents: Migos’ ‘Trap Symphony’

By Donna-Claire Chesman on

Every great trap song needs an orchestral arrangement.

Every great trap song needs an orchestral arrangement. Created at the Youtube Studios in Chelsea, NYC, the Migos Trap Symphony recreates their early hits “Hannah Montana,” “Handsome & Wealthy,” and “One Time” with a nine-piece orchestra.

The natural menace and earthy quality of strings brings to life the already brooding trap soundscapes. Bringing their frequently co-opted triplet flow to the classical arena, the final product is a match made in musical heaven. “We been influenced by all different types of music,” the Migos told FADER. “People think of Migos and think of one type of music, but we gonna do it all.”

Prior to the performance, each musician was asked if they heard of Migos. While only a handful of the musicians could answer ‘Yes,’ following the session, it’s safe to assume the Migos had a score of new fans in the room.
