Specially curated by Norma Now, Audiomack is proud to present the Hometown Heroes of South Florida.

South Florida is the home base of rap’s aggressive and punchy new wave. From Sylvan LaCue to Denzel Curry, to the freewheeling raps of Ski Mask The Slump God, if the music is coming out of South Florida, it is sure to be packed with a never-before-seen energy. These artists are moving music forward by tapping into the ballistic nature of their region, and delivering it to fans on wax.

Specially curated by Norma Now, Audiomack is proud to present the latest Hometown Heroes of South Florida. An events coordinator and “magic maker” based in Miami, Norma knows exactly what makes her scene so special, and knows first-hand which artists deserve their due shine.

“Miami to me means diversity, freedom, and a chance to create your own scene,” she tells us. “The culture and people are unmatched, and unlike anywhere else. We are truly unique, we don’t give up on a fight, we know how to have a good time, we have only the future to grow and bloom into a respected city of arts across all mediums.”

Featuring new tracks from Ari Chi, Gill Graff, and Xali, this playlist proves that there’s more to South Florida than blown out bass and ragged vocals. Artists speak in tongues and deliver incantations in place of hooks. The production choices are otherworldly, all astral synths and sprawling melodies, and the writing is crisp and evocative.
