Imagine being born, raised, and building your life in one country, yet still being unable to prove you belong. For generations, residents of Ghana Town in Brufut have called The Gambia home. Many have never known another country, but today they face uncertainty over their citizenship status and access to national documents. They say they are not seeking special treatment, only recognition and the rights afforded to other Gambians. Sankulleh Janako visited the community and brings us this report.
