Another track off my upcoming album, dropping Friday, April 17, 2020. This one is inspired by my time immersed in South Asian Acappella. South Asian Acappella is an ever growing expression of identity for young Indian Americans. It definitely shaped my music awareness/perspective and gave me some of my most cherished friends. The mix here is an eclectic mix of Bad Bunny, reggaeton, and two teams from the South Asian Acappella scene in the US: University of Michigan Maize Mirchi (@maize-mirchi) w/ their cover of O...Saya, and Case Western Reserve University Dhamakapella (@dhamakapella) with their cover of Khwaja Mere Khwaja. The final choral sample after that is Scandinavian in origin, sung by a Polish group (Laboratorium Pieśni).
