Basically the word “August” reminds me of a period of stress & hardship in my life followed by depression & those are the emotions I want the people to feel through listening to this Ep. Long story short I had a girlfriend in high-school & things didn’t go so well after graduation.She broke my heart on August 19th in 2016 & that month I spiraled into the deepest depression of my life. Every song has a meaning & all tell a story together. I touch on my thoughts, how she was acting towards me after the break up,The perspective of another guy she’s engaged with, Messing around with other girls & my emotional progression into loving myself again. I also decided to take rap seriously that month so I touch on how I feel towards raps state, other rappers I come across & how I feel about my skills.
