Shedding light on his Nigerian roots & Lagos upbringing, Uche’s “thru your eyes” EP advocates for how Uche believes the world see’s him. Born in Chicago, but raised in Nigeria from the age of 5-12 before returning to Chicago, Uche’s exists entirely as a duality. Singing in the church choir all his years in Nigeria to becoming a teen in the frigid scene that is Chicago, Uche embodies evolution. With songs like Messi, Uche ties himself hopelessly to his world of brutalist rnb & inserts Afro rhythms to mesmerize the listener. This whole EP in Uche’s words is “giving the outside perspective a first person narrative. It is telling his story “thru YOUR eyes”.
