In this episode, Myra & Mojo discuss Tory Lanez & the release of his highly anticipated new album, Alone At Prom. The rapper has been teasing the album since September and now we finally get the full-length release. On Monday, November 15th Tory released the lead single, “Lady of Namek”. The song was the first single from the 80s themed project In order to execute Alone At Prom the way he visualized, Lanez created a character Ashton Rain, who acts as an alter ego of sorts. “Ashton Rain is a mixture of Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael Jackson, Rick James, and more," said Lanez. "The music was so retro and nostalgic that the character had to be created and authenticated through film, picture, and music video. The Alone At Prom album was originally supposed to be released on December 1, 2021.
