A song I wrote as a lullaby for my young son. Although I've had it in my head since he was 4 months old (approximately), I didn't find the time to create it until he was 6 years old. I also wrote the lyrics, but I prefer to save those for my son - my singing skills are not at the level the recording deserves. Hence the karaoke version. 😆 The original idea for the lyrics was a sort of parable of farewell to a deceased child, to make the emotional impact on the listener as great as possible, but after finishing the first verse I found the idea so morbid, sad and cruel that I immediately changed my plans. The lyrics therefore became a lullaby for my son, in which an incompetent prince sets out to rescue a princess, but asks no one where to go or if there is any need to rescue anyone at all
