Ayé, a single released from the upcoming album, Gbogbonise, was created to venerate the mothers (awon iyami), whom people often mistake for witches. They are our mothers as Olodumare created them to be. Unfortunately, there was a time in our history when humans betrayed the mothers, and since then, it looked like we became sworn enemies. To make matters worse, foreign religion came and labeled them as witches that we must cast and bind. But in reality, to keep balance between us and these mystical mothers, we must venerate and appease them so that they will always favor us even when others wish us ill. Though foreign religions make it look like we can fight them and win, unfortunately, thats not the way the world works. We must appease them at all times. A ò ní rí ìjà Ayé o! Àṣẹ
