Born and raised in a musical Yoruba household, his passion for singing started early on, inspired by Nigerian music heavyweights like Onyeka Onwenu and King Sunny Ade. Though Tobi Tokz dabbled in hip-hop and R&B, his artistic focus shifted back towards his Nigerian heritage, coinciding with the rise of Afrobeats in the UK. He releases his debut EP titled "token" which is an embodiment of his musical journey as an artist
