All baroque music this week (about 1600-1740). This is the dawn of keyboard music officially (nothing before is commonly studied). The piano had not been invented yet but there were pipe organs, harpsichord and clavichord which is kind of a smaller, more primitive harpsichord. I've never even seen one. But it evolved into the Clavinet or "clav" which is a familiar sounding electronic instrument used on say Stevie Wonder's Superstition. Baroque is cerebral and can be pretty "metal", man, but it's technical because it's lacking in dynamics due to the limitations of the technology. Pianos were invented to have the ability to do soft/loud which is what "pianoforte" as it was first called means.
