Materialism was something I had to deal with and something I still struggle with. Throughout the song I mention how I am in love with things like rings and watches. I used to love buying designer clothing and spending my money thinking I was rich. It wasn't until I started posting on Instagram and realizing that being an artist requires a lot of money that I stopped falling for materialism. I had to start focusing my efforts and money on other things that were more long term than short term. I started getting into investing and figuring out how the rich got richer. I learned how to control my emotions, face my demons, and to keep on pushing regardless of what happened. I have learned I need to invest for the future.
