i called this "memoryboard" in the project file; i was on a kick of watching a lot of "liminal space/places from your dreams/nightmares"-type image compilation videos back when i got the idea for this one. one that stuck out to me in particular was a hazily-familiar photo of an empty parking lot at night, illuminated by a circle of yellowish street light just enough to see the concrete picnic tables, trash cans, and a bit of brick fencing, but everything beyond that is total darkness. i envisioned someone waiting for something in that space, lost in thought, and that's how this stylistically came into mind
