Tango Ibn Hassan’s debut Extended Playlist; Dry Jokes, comprises 6 high-caliber records which serve as a sort of teaser that seeks to embody the practice of telling generally dry jokes on stage in order to break the ice before talking turkey. With a tracklist that deliberately chronicles the dangers of going into the Northern region, encountering possible terrorism and comically hinting the continuing problem of inadequate supply of electricity faced by Nigerians, Dry Jokes spells the introduction of ample representation of the Hip-Hop artform in Nigeria’s musical sphere and meets international standards of Rap music requirements in terms of production quality, nimble lyricism, instrumentation and social commentary.
