Swan Lingo

Washington D.C. rapper singer and multi-instrumentalist Swan Lingo has garnered a strong following with his unique and progressive lo-fi sound. His experimental sound stems from a wide variety of influences that range from Ms. Lauryn Hill to bands like Beach Fossils and Craft Spells. "In DC, everyone's a rapper, everyone makes rap beats. I was trying to do ambient style instrumentation because I like to express emotion through my music; I don't like to just say shit that I don't really care about." After Swan's music caught the ears of producer and label co-founder Shlohmo, his debut EP and subsequent full length “Wonder What” were released by the Los Angeles based WEDIDIT Collective.
