this song is really special to me. it’s my first release ever that i wrote all the words and lyrics which is something i’ve always wanted to do. i started this last spring while we were practicing for the “fall for you” orchestral video. it started with a prechorus about road tripping to northern california, which i had just gotten back from a few weeks earlier. i would love to tell you all the little details about what this song means to me, how some of it was true at the time, and some of it came true in the months to follow. it wasn’t about a breakup when i wrote it, but it’s about a breakup now and i’ll just leave it at that. every lyric is real. i’m really grateful for everything that inspired this song - the good and the bad. i hope you like it 💛 much love sj
