“I’m in love, but I don’t want to be in love alone…” I think many of us have experienced this fear: the hesitation, the doubts, and the uncertainty. Falling in love and being unsure whether you can completely fall is so nerve-racking. The urge to convince someone that it’s okay to be vulnerable and that they’ll be received with open arms, when all you really want is for them to convince you of the very same thing. You don’t possess the skill to “play the game,” nor do you feel like it, or even want to. And trying to remove the guard someone else has built up is damn near impossible when you’re still trying to learn how to remove your own. All you really want is to be in love. Unapologetically.
