‘SOFIA’, is a melodious blend of the sounds that define her life - soul, r&b, and jazz. Throughout the record, you can hear footprints of both D’Angelo and Amy Winehouse, Sophia’s two greatest influences in terms of singing and songwriting. Sophia’s voice is further complemented by her use of intricate live instrumentation, a key element in elevating the stories she wishes to tell. Many of the songs on her debut album are written and produced by Sophia, however, she also collaborated with several other musicians and songwriters.
