Yellow is inspired by a crush I had last summer. I have been writing, producing from my home studio for the past year. My roommates helped me with the visuals and content. You can hear a reverbed echo of my roommate yelling at 2:00 mark. Yellow is a story told from the perspective of a young man who loses a summer crush. The man’s crush is insecure with some aspects of her body and her life due to the bad experiences she’s had with men in her past. Although not fully realized, the young man reflects on their relationship as something special and holds to the memory of her and their connection by recalling her favorite color, the color yellow. Yellow is significant in this story because of the two sides it represents; happiness, positivity, energy, optimism
