The newest offering from Roshin x Noam (Essex Boys) "Ketchup Chips" is an ugly neck-snapper that examines the inevitability of blood money.  Roshin displays a technical prowess while covering everything from getting paid in the industry to the problem with Billionaires. Clairmont's choked up delivery pulls you into Toronto's dark underbelly of police corruption and protecting your family in the face of death. Tim North's chorus bring the song together with the apt Canadian lyrics "It's all blood money by the time you getting it. Red fingers in the bag like ketchup chips."

"Kodiak Moments" marks the long awaited follow up of Toronto duo Roshin x Noam's "Kawhi."  Roshin deftly sets himself apart from his competition on his verses - "I hit the cypher no one no me at, go in/ leave without a picture it's a Kodiak Moment."  He spends the chorus reiterating that he'd rather be himself then get caught up, singing "I don't wanna your wars tonight."  Noam, fresh off his co-production Guapdad' 4000s 'Gargoyles' alongside Illmind & The Kount leans on his 70s soul influence on the song.   A fresh take on the nod heavy style employed by beat-makers like 9th Wonder, Khrysis & Alchemist.  The duo's debut LP, "Essex Boys" drop this summer.

The song was supposed to be the lead single for Roshin's debut album, one that never ended up dropping. Touring and promoting his group Notes to Self perpetually pushed the album to the backburner. Then in 2015, the legend himself: Sean Price, unexpectedly passed on. 

December 2020 saw the release of Rosh's first solo record with "Kawhi" on GGBR Records. "Same Damn 'Lo Sweater" had now been in the ether for a decade. But Sean was amazing, as he always was, and people needed to hear the song.  So after reaching out to Sean's wife Bernadette Price for her blessing, "Same Damn 'Lo Sweater" is finally seeing the light of day.

Unrequited is a story about love & loss. It's a story of depression and resilience. Most of all it's a story of learning to love yourself. 

The arc of the album starts us from Roshin's earnest perspective on 'Dennis Rodman.' Our protagonist understands his artistic value, though he struggles with putting himself in front of people. This theme of desperation to 'show up' through anxieties and frustrations is recurring through the album. 

Roshin's penchant for emotional honesty comes through on "At my Parent's Again" and "Beyond Me," in which we're given a two part story documenting the ugly but necessary end of a toxic relationship. Songs "Desperately," "Only One" and "Out of Mind" have Roshin recognizing (painfully) that he's chasing a love deep enough to make him feel good about himself
