On "Rat Race", Riley Writts refers to the toxic competitiveness in the hip hop world as a "rat race". It also refers to a time when Riley himself was disillusioned, refocused on himself and keeping his creativity sharp. Fellow rapper Joey Golden gives his feature verse on how artists can free themselves from the fierce struggle of clout and/or money. This sampled lofi song with a bounce is produced by offbeatninja. This is the 2nd single from Riley Writtens off his upcoming EP project, After Twelve.
