364 days ago, J. Cole dropped KOD on the 20th of April. Fitting, coz it was 4:20, world weed day, as the album was addressing exactly that: the glorifying of drug use. Personally, I'm addicted to a different drug. One he addressed on track 3 on the album, "Photograph". LOVE. But it's the manner in which he addressed love on the song that got to me. "Love today's gone digital." I think you see where I'm going with this.
Digital Love was inspired by Photograph. I never thought it would become an entire project, it's crazy when I think it back.
Digital Love however is not holistically about love alone. But rather the love we have for the digital world we living in right now. It's a new addiction, one that's swallowing all of us.
I hope y'all enjoy the project man. For what it is. I left a part of myself on those beats ..
