As person you should try by all means to stay in your lane. Like if you're a rapper just rap and if you're a producer just produce. This also applies to producers that do almost everything, if you do those things and people encourage you to keep doing them then keep doing those things it's clear that they see potential in you. Do not rap because you see others rapping or you're just rapping because you're recording for free, just try to do what you are good at.
