August 24, 2014 is a piano solo collection realized in 2014 with contemplative and sensual cocktails and bluesy reflections. All recordings in this collection were freely improvised and were recorded in real-time, and no dubbing was used. The instrument used was the Roland RD-700 digital piano, the recording was effected digitally using the Yamaha AW16G recording studio. The technique used is unique, as Peter Fritz Walter, the composer/performer, has not received any valid formal piano training and started recording his musical inspirations only from age 40. The present collection was recorded in 2014 when the composer was 59 years old.
