Minneapolis’s own Afro-Fusion artist, Obi Original, describes his latest single “No Talking” as an ode to Black love. He describes Black love as a love that is magical and groundbreaking. The “Tsunami” singer/song writer takes listeners and viewers on a journey through a relationship between a young Black couple. Obi also stresses the importance of Black women and how their magical touch is one that is often not celebrated to its full extent. “I wanted to create a song that not only celebrates Black love, but a song that celebrates Black women.” He also talks about the Black women in his life and how they have pushed him to become a better person. “Black women are worthy of love where they can be their authentic selves,” Mr. Original states.
