Oyedele and BoyLiam return with “Silifa,” an Afro fusion record produced by SixThirty, which stands as an observation about love in Lagos. Silifa is a smooth storytelling song that balances drama, and intrigue while retaining its distinct gbedu. Silifa is music for pretty women— silky, romantic and jarring. The song comes with additional vocals from Ms Gail, and a grunge guitar arrangement by ‘Tosin Amire that nearly pushes genre definitions to its limits. By the final chorus, everyone loves everybody, everyone hates everybody; yet everyone grooves.
