Welcome to onlinenakshatra Podcast. Today, we will discuss Karwa Chauth, a special festival celebrated by married Hindu women in India. This day falls on the fourth day after the full moon in the month of Kartik, usually in October or November. On Karwa Chauth, women observe a fast from sunrise to moonrise for the well-being and long life of their husbands. They begin the day with a pre-dawn meal called "Sargi," prepared by their mothers-in-law. Throughout the day, they refrain from eating or drinking and often engage in prayers and rituals.
