As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so also Jesus - Son of God and Son of man, was lifted up when He was crucified and condemned upon the cross for the sins of the whole world. Jesus, when He was lifted up upon the cross, paid in full the penalty for the sins of us all. We accept His Love in response and lift Him high in our Worship with the cross before us - Casting down EVERYTHING that exalts itself above His name.
