Brooklyn smooth rock unit Office Culture is made up of four longtime collaborators: Ian Wayne (guitar/keyboards), Charlie Kaplan (bass), Pat Kelly (drums) and lead singer and songwriter Winston Cook-Wilson (vocals/keyboards). Office Culture’s jazz-inflected, meditative musical personality speaks to their chemistry together as players and their shared points of musical reference, from mid-‘70s Joni Mitchell and Curtis Mayfield to ‘80s Leonard Cohen to ECM label jazz.
"[Office Culture] make what is ostensibly a brand of smooth-rock/sophistipop,
though the style is … very much its own beast, a singular, twenty-first century take on the
smooth sound that acknowledges its influences without wishing to become them.”
