R&B stands for “Rhythm and Blues” The root of the blues was narratives and stories rooted in real life scenarios that everyday people face. “My music philosophy is storytelling, and we can use any musical backdrop to tell those stories, the ‘RHYTHM’ can be a slow jam, mid-groove, hip hop or in this case afro-Latin-Caribbean fusion, we justmake sure we are bringing the ‘BLUES’ and that is what R&B means to me” – Nyasia Chane’l
