“Dead Tape is a collection of songs I’ve recorded over the past 10 years in Johannesburg, Kinshasa, and Lubumbashi. It’s my interpretation of hit records, featuring many of my favorite artists from these three regions. This project serves as an inspiration, not just for young musicians but for all artists. Don’t let your work stay hidden on a hard drive. Put it out there. It doesn’t matter how many people see or like it—it’s important that your work is shared. We have too much amazing talent stuck on hard drives. Enjoy the music—it’s some of the best out right now, across any genre.”
