"Come and get a dose of me" are the first words you hear from Nami on his introductory EP "I am Nami" and that's exactly what he hopes to achieve with the project. With influences from Michael Jackson's pop to old school hip hop and dancehall, Nami hopes to tell the story of his roots and experiences in music while not letting go of Afrobeats as the base of everything. Growing up in the eastern part of Nigeria was especially instrumental in shaping his sound and its evident in this project. Every song was solely produced and written by him telling his personal story from the heartbreaks happening around him to realizing the importance of hustling and gaining independence from the powers that be in the traditional Nigerian household. D songs are not just for the ears but also for the soul.
