‘The Devil's Daughter’ is a cautionary tale about a toxic late night encounter. It follows an interaction I had with a girl one late night in Nairobi. What I realised from this experience was the painful feeling of unrequited attraction. I thought she liked me but nothing they did equated to having the capacity for loving me. The manner in which they interacted with me felt like it was either for the purpose of making someone else jealous or for the sole purpose of wanting to satisfy a question in her mind.
