BE is an introduction to the rapper’s most ambitious project to date – a series of three, interconnected EPs containing more than twenty tracks collectively entitled BEGREATFOOL. Together, the albums contain a powerful vision of the artist confronting life today and finding inspiration in his struggle. To kick off the series, BE explores how Mvstermind, the phenomenon, came to be. Named a Tidal Rising Artist and one of NPR Music’s Twenty Artists to Watch in 2019, Mvstermind felt overwhelmed by his growing success, struggling to balance his responsibilities as a husband and father with the pressures of building his career. As he says, “My own expectations became so heavy that I plummeted and hit rock bottom. This album, it saved me. It birthed a new, sturdier version of Mvstermind.”
