Sin to be Rich” challenges clear-cut ideas of music genres with its blending of glitch-hop, complextro and elements of jazz, blues and funk. Anchored by a bass line that slaps, this track samples one of my favorite blues musicians, Lightnin Hopkins, whose soulful voice shines against the backdrop of in-your-face electronic instrumentals. From the contrast between all these elements comes a one-of-a-kin sound where glitchy textures and complex rhythms coexist with rich blues music.
