Mukhy, the naijaposhboy

Mukhy is a Nigerian artist based in the UK. As a creative, he is drawn to a wide range of styles of music and as such describes himself as ‘anti-genre’. His interest in music started whilst living in Nigeria where he would rap with his friend, Polosho, daily. After moving to the UK, he did not immediately continue to explore his musical passions but proved highly successful in his academic and professional pursuits. Having achieved a 1st class in his Chemical Engineering degree from UCL, Mukhy obtained a coveted role as a Strategy Consultant. Notwithstanding the prestige of this traditional career path, Mukhy struggled to find happiness and in March 2020 took a bold decision to quit and dive into music full time.
