Road Trip is the debut mixtape by BlkMazzy. It features 8 self written tracks based on his experiences in regions he resided in; Caribbean, United States, and Nigeria. The concept of this artwork is from Fela Kuti's (Sorrow, Tears, and Blood). The scenery depicts police discrimination, brutality, and general oppression of our community. I chose this direction because I felt the need to also highlight these same struggles we still face in our society today; almost 5 decades after the initial statement was made by one of Africa's greatest. Hence the double meaning of musically taking you on a road trip, and to also highlight the situations still faced today across Nigeria. Fasten your seatbelt! Enjoy the joy ride with chill moods that give off a futuristic Afro-fusion bounce. Listen Now!
