This song is based on a folkstory arranged and produced by Adetoyese Adeyeye. A man with two wives, both barren, consulted an ifá priest, who performed sacrifices, and a child was born. The priest decreed the child should only eat eggs. When the mother left for market, the stepmother, driven by greed, fed the child a water yam instead, causing her death. The child's spirit sang a sorrowful song, telling of her demise, becoming a legend cautioning against greed, neglect, and disobedience.
