“Pompeii” is about a desire to be alone with someone special, away from the eyes of the world, in a private paradise where love can be fully expressed. The repeated mention of “Pompeii” symbolizes a hidden, passionate retreat — a metaphorical place where emotions erupt like a volcano but are kept sacred between the couple.
