Scotch is a swaggering blues inflected track featuring the immense vocal talents of Chelsea D.E Johnson and the abilities of some of Vancouver Island's most exciting musicians. It is the debut single from Michael Wilford, a drummer and songwriter best known as the drummer for bands like Old Soul Rebel, Sail Cassady and more. Scotch acts as a reflection from a musician out on the road, sitting alone in a bar in a city he's never been in thinking of home and the people who supported him and gave him allowance to chase a dream. In March of 2021 Scotch was selected as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, and was one of the most voted for songs in the People's Voice competition. Scotch marks the beginning of a series of releases by Michael Wilford.
