"Escape Me" is an angsty, breakup, build song with a western vibe. It sits somewhere between alternative, indie pop, and singer-songwriter genres. I wrote, produced, and played all of the instruments (most of which were live) except some epic build percussion by my co-producer/mix engineer Misfit Music NC. I don’t use any autotune on my vocals. People have said this track reminds them of Lana Del Rey, Feist, Florence + the Machine, Ingrid Michaelson, and SIA. (I can't claim to be on all those artists' levels!!
